What does a cleaning company website cost, and what does it need to do?

A specialist cleaning company website costs from £1,495 one-off, then £50 a month, and its only job is to turn a search for "cleaners near me" into a quote request.

"cleaners near me" is searched 14,800 times a month in the UK and a click on it costs £2.76 in Google Ads. "office cleaning london" costs £9.70 a click and up to £32.04 at the top of the page (Google Ads UK, read 12 September 2026). Every cleaning company in your town is either paying those prices or getting none of those visits. A website with a real page for each town and each service gets them for nothing, month after month. That is the whole argument for spending £1,495 rather than £20 a month, and it is the argument every page on this site makes with your town's own numbers.

from £1,495Starter: a sole trader or a small domestic team

What your customers search, and what a click costs you today

This is the demand your website competes for: what people type when they need a cleaner, and what Google charges to put you in front of them.

No licence

Cleaning has no regulator and no required qualification in the UK, so accreditations, insurance and reviews do all the trust work a licence would do elsewhere

Who we build for

Every kind of cleaning company searches differently, so every kind gets its own page and its own argument.

Domestic cleaning

Weekly and fortnightly rounds. Lifetime value per customer is high, so one ranking pays for years.

Commercial and office cleaning

Procurement teams read your accreditations page before they shortlist you. Build it for them.

End of tenancy

12,100 searches a month at £6.78 a click. Letting agents want a guarantee and a price.

Carpet and upholstery

14,800 searches a month. NCCA membership and before-and-after photos do the selling.

Window cleaning

Rounds are geographic. A page per area matches how the work is actually organised.

Oven cleaning

14,800 searches a month, dominated by franchise sites. An independent needs a better page, not a bigger budget.

How a cleaning company website gets built here

  1. Tell us what you clean and where

Four details in the form, then a short written brief. No discovery call unless you want one. Most clients answer twelve questions by WhatsApp.

  2. We write the pages from your numbers

Services, areas, accreditations and prices. We pull the search and cost figures for your towns so every page argues from real data.

  3. You see it working before you pay the balance

A private link, on your phone. Two rounds of changes are included. The quote form, WhatsApp button and Google Business Profile advice are all in place.

  4. Live from two weeks, then the care plan

We connect your domain and email. £50 a month covers hosting, updates and one small change a month. Rolling, 30 days notice, no exit fee.

What cleaning companies say after launch

More local cleaning enquiries

“Since launching the new website, we've seen a noticeable increase in enquiries from customers in the areas we want to target. The site looks professional, explains our services clearly and makes it incredibly easy for customers to request a quote.”
JamesCleaning company owner, London

A website built to generate work

“We didn't just want a nice-looking website, we wanted something that would actually help us win more cleaning jobs. The team designed the whole site around generating enquiries, with clear calls to action and dedicated pages for our key services.”
SarahCommercial cleaning director, London

Finally getting found on Google

“Our previous website generated very little business. The new website was built with SEO and local search visibility in mind, helping us build a much stronger presence online and reach customers actively searching for our services.”

Questions cleaning companies ask before they buy a website

The first six are the questions Google shows under the search for cleaning company web design, word for word.

How do I build a website for my cleaning business?

Three routes. A builder such as Wix or Squarespace at £10 to £30 a month if you are a sole trader with a full round already. A template seller at £150 to £250 if you need something live this week. Or a specialist build from £1,495 if you want pages for each service and each town, a quote form that captures the lead before it asks questions, and the search and cost numbers for your area on the page. The first two are fine until you hire. The third is what fills a diary.

How to find clients for your cleaning company?

In this order: a verified Google Business Profile with photos and reviews, a website with one page per service and one per town, then referrals from the customers those two bring in. Paid ads work but cost £2.76 a click on "cleaners near me" and £9.70 on "office cleaning london" (Google Ads UK, read 12 September 2026). A page that ranks gets the same visit for nothing.

What is a catchy name for a cleaning company?

The one nobody else in your county is using. Before you fall for a name, check Companies House for it, check the .co.uk and .com, and search Google Maps for it within twenty miles. Six different "Clean Sweep" companies are on the register. Our naming guide walks through the checks; it does not hand you a list.

What does a clean website look like?

For a cleaning company it looks like this: what you clean, where you clean it, what it costs and how to book, all visible without scrolling on a phone. White space, one typeface, photographs of your own team and your own work, and no stock picture of a woman in yellow gloves that a hundred other sites use.

What is the 3 second rule in website design?

A visitor decides within about three seconds whether the page is for them. On a cleaning site that means the town, the service and the price need to be in the first screen, and the quote form needs to be beside them, not three pages away.

What are the 5 elements to a good website design?

For this trade: a headline that names the service and the area, a quote form in the hero, proof (reviews, accreditations, before-and-after photos you took yourself), a price or a from-price, and a page for every town you cover. Everything else is decoration.

How long does a cleaning company website take to build?

Two to three weeks for Starter, three to four for Team, four to six for Contract, from the day the twelve brief questions come back. Most agencies quote four to eight weeks for a site this size; we are quicker because there is no platform to configure and no discovery workshop to sit through.

Will I be able to update the website myself?

Text and price changes come through us on the £50 care plan, usually the same day. There is no WordPress login because there is no WordPress; if you want the files to edit yourself, we hand them over.
